The Ulaanbaatar Mayor’s Office, Mongolian Tourism Association and the Ulaanbaatar Chamber of Commerce signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to cooperate in developing tourism in Mongolia and in making Ulaanbaatar a more tourist-friendly city.

 Vice Mayor in charge of social development issues at the Ulaanbaatar Mayor’s Office Ts.Enkhtsengel, President of the Ulaanbaatar Chamber of Commerce J.Od, and Head of the Mongolian Tourism Association D.Gantumur signed the agreement.
The MoU is expected to:
•Set a standard for all tourist trade and service centers and organizations working in the capital and throughout Mongolia.
•Create an internationally accepted shopping center for Mongolian-made products in Ulaanbaatar
•Organize a public exhibition for tourism
•Create information centers for domestic and international tourists
•Create a trade, service and exhibition complex to lengthen the tourism season
•To develop the area near the new airport into a free trade zone, and work on building Khan City to attract transit passengers
•Determine places outside of Ulaanbaatar that could be used for tourism and economic free trade zones, and establish entertainment venues and trade service centers for them
•Make cooperation proposals to increase the number of direct flights to Mongolia
